81 Reliant here, ITS DRIVING ME NUTS! So etimes I have spark and it starts right up! Other times it will not start for DAYS! I can run it, park it and BOOM! Car will not even try to spark! BUT leave itsit for several days! Starts right up! Car is all original 23k Miles original! Checked all connections! All is good all fuses good. UGH! Any ideas?

is your coil any good? how about your hall effect? spark control computer taken a shit?

Coil seems fine. The computer I am gonna check today. Thanks for the input!

Might want to check the dis cap and rotor as well. Where you going to find a computer for it? 1981 is different from the 83 model year...

Irs not the Coil. I installed a new one with the same results. Glad I did not can the old one, cause its the factory Mopar part from 81. Where is this Spark control unit? Does it happen to be drivers side engine compartment under a plastic shield?

Yes, I tested the spark on number one spark plug. Dead as a door knob. I have not changed the Dist Pick-up. I even pulled the timing belt cover off to see if it may have snapped. Its gotta be something stupid....LOL...I am sure I will be kicking myself once it running again...LOL

Ok, I have it Sparking now. I messed with elecrical connections and a couple had slight corrossion. I messed with the gear selector while turning it over as well, still will not start. I am wondering if the throttle body is not shot, or varnished up from years of not being run. Any other ideas?

It's not a throttle body, it's a carburetor. Try pouring a little (Tablespoon or so) gas down the carb and see if it tries to start.
