Gauge cluster

Postby honeaw » Wed Sep 10, 2014 10:59 pm

Hi Guys
I am new on this forum. My grandma gave me her 1983 chrysler New Yorker. I drove it a hour home good little car. But my cluster has the spot that has the time, date, and some other stuff but it will not light up. Is there a something I can buy or do to make it work again? Everything else works fine in the cluster. Another question when I drive the car sometimes it starts right up or I may have to put the gas pedal all the way to the floor so it will start again. This is when it's warmed up. I think the carb needs a good cleaning. Grandma did not drive it far.

Thank you

Welcome to the club. First off, congratulations on owning the near extinct 83 New Yorker. They have all been destroyed in California, and there are only about 50 left
anywhere in the country that still run. We have some great techs on this board that should be able to assist you shortly, but please call me if there is a delay at 818-219-2587.
Also, could you email me some pictures of your car for us to enjoy? I haven't seen one of these in five years. My email is aries89@chryslerkcar.com.
