Here we have what is a classic 1986 Chrysler LeBaron 4dr K-Car with the turbocharged 2.2 liter engine. Unfortunately,
after providing 20 years of local reliable service between church and other activities, this car was hit with a stroke of bad luck,
literally. It was hit in the front by a California driver. Then, it overheated after the incident, possibly blowing the headgasket. This
car should be rescued by a K-car enthusiast. Good news, after a lot of serious negotiation
with the insurance company, it looks like this car may not get the salvage title.

PRO: It was a 2nd owner car, and used for local service. Was regularly seen around Sylmar for MANY years. Engine
has one rebuild. The frame does not appeared damaged. It appears to be mostly cosmetic damage. It could also be rebuilt again,
if someone could see the value in resurrecting an old car as it could see many more years of service with the right TLC.

CON: It was obviously in an accident, but the front end parts can still be found, and the Chrysler K-Car Club can assist with that.
The engine probably needs a top end overhaul, but you can call the seller for more details. A blown headgasket is not the end of
the world. The bottom end is probably still good, but who knows. It needs to be tested and evaluated.

If you are interested in this car, or one like it, or to learn more about these cars, check out the Chrysler K-Car Club at www.chryslerkcar.com.
and http://forum.chryslerkcar.com. This car happens to be a rare classic, and 25 years old. That should stand for something, shouldn't it? Its
not just another junker. This is the car that saved Chrysler.
