I am entertaining the possibility of selling my current car, a Gold 1985 Chrysler New Yorker 2.2l Turbo and wanted to give you all the first shot at getting it. You all seem generally interested in keeping the K-cars on the road and I don't want to send this one to the dealer's pile.
So I have had this car for about 2 years. My civic was totaled and my grandmother had just retired from driving, so she gave it to me. I got it at about 75k miles and we just broke 101k miles.
The good:
1. Paint and body in reasonable shape.
2. Interior is plush to say the least, and in great condition.
3. No mechanical problems I know of. Been my daily driver for 2 years.
4. No oil leaking, clean out the pipe. Been treated to Mobile 1 at oil changes since I've had it.
5. I have the original purchase agreement from when my grandma bought it new, can include it if desired.
The less good:
1. Only one power window operates as normal - Driver Front falls into door occasionally (manual operation only), Passenger Front doesn't roll down at all - hasn't since before I got it, Driver Rear falls to lower limit (manual operation only), Passenger Rear works OK (power operation).
2. No A/C, not sure what the problem is, but grandma said it wouldn't be worth pursuing.
3. Headliner sags everywhere, some of the fabric rotted out on the back deck.
4. Driver's side interior door handle fell off, pretty sure I have all the parts
At one point I was thinking about fixing it up more, but never really became a priority. My grandmother really loved this car so i would definitely prefer selling to an enthusiast.
