Dirth of Kcars Central Valley Ca

Postby Larry5000 » Tue Jan 22, 2013 12:02 am

My wife and I went running around self service wrecking yards today in search of a 1985 to 86 Kcar to retrieve a map sensor. There was absolutely nothing anywhere that we went. Our breed of car is rapidly becoming extinct from what I've seen lately.

You can still get that part from Rockauto (online), ebay or a local parts store.

Here is a link to one. (Lots of Ebay listings.) 2.2 N/A

Funny you should mention that. I have been harping on that for some time. Nobody cares about saving the K-car, except us.

I'm having the timing belt and valve cover changed at a shop here in town with a shop/parts store. I will have them order the part for me. Now all I have to do is learn how to install it on to the computer module with out damaging the computer.

Larry, I am going to Los Angeles Pic-a-parts next Sunday, the three biggest yards ever in Wilmington. Its been a year, but I know everytime I went there there were K-cars.
I will let you know. The other one near my house crushes Chrysler so fast that there are only about 20 a month there now from 80s-90s and they no longer get K-cars. Sad, sign of the times.
