New member Art,here. Does anyone have specs, part numbers, copies of factory A-38 brochure for '87 models, etc. even photos of your police 'Scout-package' cars showing special A-38 parts. I used to have the factory brochure for '81 scout cars many years ago, but lost it. thanks, Art.

Thank you for the 411 on the Allpar site, etc. ! The allpar site has a pic. of an '81 Reliant scout car of the NYPD. The wheels look just like mine,(14x?) stamped steel, and remind me of the wheels from the mini vans. mine are plenty thick in the spider section and so must be classed as "heavy duty", though I know all LE series cars got these same wheels. Any who, if they were good enough for the NYPD, they're good enough for 'Kay'. A-38 is chrysler speak for police package. Chevy is 9C-1,and Ford is 55-H. Talk to you later. Mopar to ya!

if only they put it all in the factory service manuals. can't find a thing in my 1986 set about the cop speedo, oil gauge or even a wiring diagram for the optional circuit board to control the oil gauge.

Thanks, capev86, the wagon photo is cool. In an old squad car book I once had, There was a pic. of a kcar police package wagon in it. It had the heavy duty minivan wheels that were black w/chrome center caps, a spotlight and lights on the roof. That'd be a cool car to own! ARTTY

you can get it on eBay too....."Dodge, Plymouth & Chrysler Police Cars 1979-1994"
