1988 Aries Radio Power Issue

Postby Blasirl » Mon Oct 15, 2018 4:34 pm

Hello all,

I just completed a new install with a pioneer radio, a new antenna, a signal booster using metra parts, nice soldered joints and such and just realized that there was no power coming from the fuse block. The fuse is good, but I did notice the fuse block was loose from before I had it.

Is there something specific I should be looking for? I do have the manual set, but thought I would throw out the question while it was still fresh in my mind.

Thanks in advance for any help you might provide.

Hi
The fuse box is normally supported on a small bracket and can be pushed free so the back can be inspected to see if the factory radio power lead is still attached to the fuse cavity. If the fuse box was loose it could be that some connections may have been played with in the past sometime. The radio fuse should be cavity 15.

Sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks for the info, I'll look at it within the next two weeks (I'm hoping) and let you know what I find.
