87 New Yorker Still Going Strong!

Hello, I posted about 3 or 4 years ago when i first got this baby, I was 16-17yo and this is my first car, I'm 21 now... just an update... It still runs like a dream, although it got beat up by a hail storm about a month ago, she still looks beautiful... just a few dents here and there i put about 70,000 miles on it since i bought it, now a total of about 190,000 miles. Just a testament of the reliability of the K car! I'll upload more photos, maybe a youtube video in a day or two, stay tuned! "Looks like somethings leaking in photo 1"

Things done to the car over the past 4 years...

- The usual air cleaner, brakes, and tires etc. (of course)
- Had a bout with the alternator overcharging, eventually fixed with some modifications...
- New starter
- New inner tie rods
- New a/c evap core and heater core
- New spark plugs and wires
- Suspension alignment

Thats about it, this car hasn't given me much trouble so far, I wouldn't trade it for anything!

you can see my voltage reference wire (red wire) from the coil to the volt reg... i've had to do many little "mods" like these over the years

Thankyou for sharing, and congrats on holding onto the car so long. Mine has been with me for 9 years and almost 150,000 miles. About to hit 200,000.
