That car is pretty awesome. The interior is one of my favorite parts of the thing. Buckets and console is always a winner.

Just an update on the car.
So far so good.
On its maiden voyage the original muffler fell off!!
I burned the old gas the was in the tank and with fresh gas she is gradually improving performance and MPG.
Being a Canadian car,she does not have a catalytic convertor and based on the original owners manual, was designed to run on regular leaded gas.
This makes sense after noticing the huge opening for the gas pump-not like the teenie one for unleaded gas pumps.
Car rides smooth with no squeaks or rattles.
I am glad I put in the Cargo Coils in the back and the car levelled out.
I like the bucket seats. You sit high and have tons of legroom--I had to move the seat ahead a notch to reach the pedals,LOL!!
SHE is officially on the road.I did a couple shifts delivering pizza in her and turned out to be a good car for it.
Mind you she is too nice to trash.
I decided that since she is in such remarkable shape she will nt see winter driving.
It never saw salt and never will with me owning it.
cheers

That makes me so glad to hear that it'll stay out of the salt.

Now that I have donme some seat time in the 400,my mileage is decent for an old 4 banger.
24 MPG city driving. No highway driving yet but plans for a trip are in the works.

Keep in mind I had not even touched the engine oil,air filter, plugs, and other tune up related items.
I burn Shell V-Power 91 octane since it does not contain ANY ethanol (says so on the pump) to help extend the life of the feedback Holley carb (which can act up at will--so far so good nooo problems--YET).

I spent Saturday removing all the oxidation built up on the original paint.
Now the black paint has a deeeeep shine to it.
Not perfect--but factory paint from the 80's is something yet to be desired. (read:orange peel and chaulky)
I'll get some pics when it is not dark outside.
Cheers.
