New valve cover/oil leak question?

Postby 89ARIES » Tue Nov 08, 2011 7:09 pm

Some of my wires still have oil on them. I don't want to ruin new wires with oil. So, where can I get a valve cover or valve cover gasket that won't leak overtime? I am thru
with those cork ones. I hear there is a heavy duty aftermarket one available somewhere. Also, oil seeps around the dipstick tube. I don't know why. Is there a simple fix for that?

Guy,

Take a look down this topic list to your thread about the Fel-Pro headgasket, I responded to your valve cove question a few weeks ago. I really like the Fel-Pro one piece gasket P/N VS50205T it's about $24 from Rockauto. You can also use RTV as Chysler did originally. If your valve cover is cracked or bent around the bolt holes, as many are, a new gasket of any type will not help much. like I said look at the thread below.
