Engine stalling with a consistent code 34...

It doesn't matter if car is warm or stone cold, on the trottle or off. Sometimes while cruising it will sputter once or twice and continue to run. However, it mostly just shuts off, it has shut off and then turned back on.
The code 34 is perplexing to me anyway because my code list says this code is related to turbo cars which mine is not.
It's actually an 88 2.5 TBI, with an auto. So I'm wondering what direction I need to go in to fix this puppy.
