Yugo story! I actually had one of the 89 1990 Yugo Cabrio convertibles that were made, white with a blue top and interior. Interesting car, but unfortunately deserving of it's reputation. I got it from a kid who was so far in the bucket over it's payments ( it listed for twice as much as the coupe), his Mom paid it off and I got it cheap. Mine only had 13,000 original miles, but already the driver's window regulator was broken, it's little trunk lid that slid straight up like the VW Rabbit convert did wouldn't stay up, and the gear shift felt like I was stirring pudding when ever I shifted. One thing I do remember was the top. Absolutely top quality material and construction, seriously!. Who ever did that part got it right. really had the hopes of doing a full on restoration, but it was falling apart so fast I had second thoughts. That and the realization I would be laughed out of any car show I went to caused me to sell it.
