I don't have an exact figure, I drive my car real hard, I don't drive it to get good mileage, I suspect it's under 20 combined.

If the 2.2 has a 2 barrel carb like the 2.6 Mr. Squishy the second barrel only opens up when pushed right down, that can explain some of the extra power feel, not to mention with only a 3 speed trans. that shifts up to keep the revs low for fuel efficience. As far as milage, no idea as I have not been out for a long road trip for years, mainly around town and short country cruises and have never kept track of it. I just sit back and enjoy

before my duster gave up the ghost i was getting between 28-32 mpg thats on a 2.5 tbi w/auto . gotta figure though i drive approx 30 miles 1way to work mostly at 50-60mph. i still think not to bad for a relativly free car.
I may not be the brightest bulb in the box...but i'm not the burnt-out one either...

I drive 100 miles one way to see my girlfriend and my 84 carb'd auto ARIES gets 25MPG doing 75MPH the whole way down the 401. Should see the puzzled looks I get from motorists driveing sports cars when I blow by them. But when Im just going to work doing 55MPH I get about 29MPG highway, about 25 city
