GOT A SCANNER FOR MY ARIES FROM SCHOOL !

I got a scanner for my car that they were getting rid of and it does alot more than the old key turn sequence (although you still need to do it at one point) you can clear codes as well as trigger the cooling fan all the switches, check the fuel injector, fuel pump, etc. if you look on your car under the hood to the left by the strut tower you will see an L-Shaped plug and that is where a mechanic would connect a computer. It feels so good to do a check over of your car from the computer in your hands. By the way its called a Pro Link 9000 OBD1 Reader.

Theres alot of differant scanners out there, the most popular ones are the OTC 2000,4000. These can be bought for $100- $200. I own a Snap-On scanner bought used off the truck for $900. I'm an auto tech by trade and needed the better one. I never used the OTC so I don't know what functions it can do, but the Snap_On has the capacity to activate all the relays, injectors etc. Also has a data stream and movie freeze frame to monitor senser data.
