The Chrysler K-Car Club: Dues and Attendance Issue

Postby 89ARIES » Tue Dec 09, 2014 5:32 am

Folks,

I am extremely disappointed with the majority of our club membership. Ralph Simper was our only club participant for the whole weekend, and I thank him for the support. We both had a really good time, drove each others' cars, etc. When nobody showed up for Sunday, it dawned on me that the majority of our club membership does not appreciate what we are trying to do. They just don't care. In short, most of you were too lazy, busy, or both to show up, not even for a Sunday afternoon. The club is struggling to survive. The majority of our members are directly responsible for our attendance issues, and they ignore all the emails. They are too cheap to donate any funds or pay any dues. I like having events where people actually meet and greet, and there is more than one K-car. It is not fun for me otherwise.

Here is how we are going to fix this little problem, and grow as an organization.

Annual dues are mandatory immediately for all members of California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. As for new members, annual dues will be mandatory within 30 days of registration. Annual dues are due January 1st, 2015 and it is $20 each K-car. The ones
exempt from this are Ray Dunlap, Joe Baca, Bob Marcks, Lee Iacocca, Hal Sperlich, and any seller with a legitimate sales ad. Also, membership will remain free to those that do not own a K-car. Sellers with a legitimate sales ad automatically do not have to pay for membership. For those that attend Spring Fling 2015 next year, or do something for the club rather than merely exist as a name on my roster, free membership for 2016. For those unwilling to pay dues, don't waste my time. You aren't welcome here. I would rather have three K-car owners at Spring Fling, like Ralph Simper, Ray Dunlap, Joe Baca, and other like-minded people that take our mission seriously. The majority of you do not.

Here is video below of the event that everyone took a rain check on.

Oh, and Merry Christmas. Thanks for your support in this matter. The new year 2015 and
our club's prosperity depends solely on you. Don't be a flake, be a supporter. Read the 2nd
email, if you are still with us, and see how you can support the Chrysler K-Car Club by paying dues,so we might still have a sedan by 2020. I will explain in the 2nd email the use of the dues.
