that is the nice thing about the k car. all the performance models were based off the chassis so all the best performance drivetrain and chassis pieces from the top of the line shelby and r/t cars is a bolt in swap. . the original k's are lighter weight and almost nobody in the import crowd knows about how easy it is to modify them....and cheaply using old factory parts instead of paying an arm and a leg for aftermarket parts. ultimately the imports are king because they have a huge amount of aftermarket support and the benefit of the latest technology, but there are some mopar fwd guru's and specialized vendors out there that make our old domestics very competitive in all but the most extreme build up categories. i know k car ownership is not supposed to be about ego's but there is something to be said about blowing the doors off a car that SHOULD be much faster.
