Took my grandmother to lunch today in may car with no AC. Boy, was it hot today.

It can cost hundreds of dollars to get the AC fixed on some cars if there's a really bad problem (like a dead compressor). My grandfather's Taurus had the AC quit because of something with the compressor and the estimate was in the range of 700 dollars, so he just chose to live without AC. After all, that's what windows are for aren't they?

I got quoted $120 to rebuild my butchered A/C system, new compressor, condensor, etc. but I'll do that once the engine is cleaned and the seals and gaskets are replaced.
