Boy, did Chrysler go downhill after the K-car.

Really, I think 1994 was the last year of reliable Chryslers. Ever wondered why we rarely see Dodge Intrepids anymore, even though they aren't classics? This is why:

That YouTube account is out to attack any Chrysler products and never had real evidence to back up his claims, the 2.7 was a problematic engine blowing headgaskets frequently, BUT unlike what he say's dealers did honor warranty claims, but it was up to the dealer not the company. I still see about 15 or so Intrepids every two day's, PLENTY of Sebrings (which also utilized that engine in many cases), on Allpar there was a story in which they talked to the designers of the V6's of that era and even they said the 2.7 was a problem, they just had no time to fix the recurring issues before the new LH cars went out there. Now the optional engine for the Intrepid was the 3.5L V6, that was a fantastic engine as it shared a base with the minivan 3.3/3.8L engine, making it one of the strongest motors I've seen come from Chrysler (some have passed 500,000 miles now!). So Guy and all I recommend staying away from that YouTube user as he had a lemon or two from Chrysler and now has a full on vendetta against them, I'm sure he'd be acting similarly immature if Chevy's or Ford's or something imported did the same to him, some people are just that way for some reason, as I say hate the car not the company. Just my 2-cents.

Your right, I did not want to start an attack on our own brand, but I always felt most late 90s-early 00s products were inferior with way too many defects.

I had an 01 Stratus that gave me 190K trouble free miles and still ran like a top when I sold her. I hate to admit that todays Mopars are more prone to problems, I work at a Ford dealer and 9 out of 10 cars that come in on a tow truck are Mopars going next door to the Mopar dealer.

Well, I still own a 97 Caravan with 130,000 trouble free miles that is my daily driver. The only mechanical repair was a heat sensor was replaced. It has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. And I have owned cars from every maker. I know many people who have had the same praise for the second generation Vans. My brother-in-law drove his for 240,000 miles before he traded it. Yes, those early LH sedans were trouble prone but improved over time. Quality issues vary in ALL carmakers from time to time and from model to model. A Banket statement does not a Carmaker make. Just look at what has happened to "perfect" Toyota in the last five years. There are many factors that go into it. If you are buying a daily driver you just have to do your research.

Classics are whole other animal.

LOL Improve!!!! Thats horse crap, look at how many craptrepids are in the junkyard 98-04 compared to 93-97 intrepids, Sorry but that 2.7 Pile of crap engine is just eww worse than having a K-car with a 2.6

Justin don't go throwing around things you might regret, different strokes for different folks. I personally see the opposite here, hardly any 1st gen LH's and tonnes of 2nd Gen's, same with minivan's hardly and 1st or 2nd gen's but tonnes of 3rd/4th/5th gens. Different places different tastes.

no no my view is the same as yours, there are lots of 2nd gens sitting in the junkyard, most of them are 2.7 powered. theres only one 3.5 liter engine in the entire yard, doesnt that tell ya something?

I didn't catch that in your first post, I though you were bashing all Intrepids and LH's, good to see your on the popular 3.5L bandwagon. I think I'd like to have like a 300M or something like that some time, I would probably get tired of changing inner-tierods and bushings though lol.
