New to the Forum

Postby cmmwiebe » Sat Oct 16, 2010 3:59 am

Hi I am from Saskatoon Canada and just joined the forum tonight. I have not had time to look around much yet but was glad to find this site. I have a 1984 E Class with the 2.6 Mitsu. engine and auto trans. This car is in very good shape but of course the electrical is the challenge. Old is old! Drivers door is the worst offender but am having trouble with the drivers signal light as well.

I am looking forward to the forum.

Here is a link to some photos on Picasa. Sadly the paint job has deteriorated since these pictures as I did not have a place to keep it stored in-doors. I have licensed it again and am trying to do some clean up work on it with the hope of selling it to someone who has time and a place to keep it in the good shape it is now in.

I had never even ridden in an older car with this many features and people are always blown away by the male voice encouraging you to be mindful of the keys or so on!

WOW! Welcome to the club Clayton. I saw that pic in 2007. It seems you were trying to sell your car at that time too. Do you realize there are less than 150 of these left? Are you sure about selling? 8)

No I did not and I would be glad to keep it for a while but the truth is that it would be better in the hands of someone who has time and know how. My main interest is in fruit plants and flower growing so the time and resources are not there to treat the car to the kind of care it could use. Not much Auto expertise here> Ha! The interior is in particularly good shape. I Just sent my 95 Voyageur to the Retire Your Ride program as it had had a hard life (it was my truck) and even the jack posts were rusting out. This car has so little and would have even less if I could park it indoors.

You have inspired me though to look for a good place to keep it if I can find one.

Thanks about the flowers.

Found this link for the Chrysler products of 84 and I would say the E Class illustrated would be my color combo. With only 167000 k it has not been driven hard but has had at least one fender bender from what the fellow said that I bought it from.

Too bad sunlight and weather are so hard on things.
