Someone wrote:What all does it take to create a chapter?
I am glad someone mentioned this, because lately, I have been asking myself the same question:
Here is what I need:
- A name from a general location. For instance, if your chapter covers the southeast, call it "Southeastern" of Southeast US" Region.
- At least three members. A president, a vice president, and a PA (public affairs: the guy that informs the rest of us of what is happening in that particular region.
- A person (that PA) who is willing to keep others informed of the events of that particular chapter.
- A time of the month/quarter/year when you guys should get together, either physically, like at the coffee shop down the street, or electronically via phone, IM, chat, or something like that.
Here is the benefit you all get.
- A section in the forum for the benefit to your chapter.
- A special "user-group" dedicated just for your chapter.
We've had a lot of unofficial chapters spring up throughout the US and some parts of the world. Lets make these chapters "official" and lets show who we really are.
